Super Jet waverunner 3, 701?

Im wondering what engines the yamaha waverunner 3 came with? I see some were 650's but not sure if any had a 700. I found one that needs work for a good deal, I just want the engine for my SN. Guy says in the ad its a 1996 engine.

yes, Some do come with 701's

just tell him to look and see wat the motor is 701 61x (single carb) or 701 62t (dual carb) or 6m6 (single carb but is the 650) tell him to look on the cylinders it should say it somewhere

easiest place to tell on a 650 is the top of the intake manifold will say 6m6

I have a 92 it came with a 650, intake or cylinder side will tell you for sure.

The wr3 gp's had 701s, the ones I have seen where all blue and said GP on the hood, only some 94-97s had 701s, all 61x/61x motors

Its a pretty old man selling it. Im not going to ask him to look for me. Im gonna go check it out for my self. Good price either way. But I really dont need other skis, just and engine lol.

Think it is going to be a 650. I got one that looks almost identical to that one.

Ive seen some of those with 701's in them but your chances are small.

if no one has changed the motor that will have a 701 in it the only year they came with 701 should be a 94

My neighbor down the street has one identical to that one and its a 650. BUT........I have seen the very same one with a 701 in it as well, so you just need to take a peek inside.

1994 was the first year they put the 701 i them. my parents owned one when i was growing up. that one up top is a 650

yeah i found another one, a little bit of a drive. but guys says its the 700. wont turn over 350 bucks. hes not sure if its the pump or the engine. I dont know if thats worth it. But worse case I could rebuild it and know I have a good engine. Might take the drive.

i have confirmed answers and researced myself. i just bought a 94 with 61x 701 in it. it has to say gp on it or its the 650. there are no 93's with a 701....0 made. i paid 300 with a trailer.
