Run away from them, I had 2 of the wdk 1200 junk

Thanks for the feedback guys. I would really like to get into a dasa as they're a more reputable and known company in the world of 2 strokes or an xscream. The reason I asked is I am or was considering a complete ski with a wdk motor. Since we're on the topic do anyone have experience worth jetworks motors? There's a complete rocket on here with a jw 850 that I'm also considering.

I wouldnt consider that a WDK engine. WDK made all the accessories to bolt up a 66E to a superjet. Its gp800 cylinders re worked to accept 90mm pistons. That is probably a really fun ski and a pretty good deal. Im pretty sure the owner paid like $17k for it last summer?
Now WDK's billet 1200's ive heard are pretty bad... But thats comparing apples and oranges.

I have ZERO experience with WDK motors, but from my experience, I would try to start with a motor which there is far more support for. Not many people will be able to help you out with that WDK motor.

why not one of the TPE motors?
I would think you will have a hard time finding (or building) a similar setup with any other comparable engine for $10k. I would not let the fact that this ski has a 66E based engine deter me, if I had $10k to spend on a backflip hull, that would be high on the list.

I would definitely consider a TPE, I've read a lot of positive things about those motors. But as yamanube said, "it's a hell of a deal for this complete ski". This will be my first built ski, up to now I've had stockers SXIs and superjets. I'm in Iowa so I'm looking for a good flat water set up. I ran a wdk 927 and tested a 1200. I did not like how motor weight or position made the ski handle. Not impressed with the powerband or pull of the 927.
The 1200 was the closest to one of Malones 1000cc motors but not as violent. Still needed some refinement. Last time I rode either was several years ago.
