What'd evryones opinions on these engines and power output the 66e plant has massive inlets, transfers, and outlets however all the other plants are 62t basses .......hmmmmm why is that ? Never rode a scream as no-one imports them here in oz but herd they have some serious punch !!! Rode numerous dasas and they seem good but I rode a buddies tpe 964 and it was off the plannet !!!!

Loved the TPE motor and planning to get one. Rode a xcream 900rr i think it was and didn't like the light switch power band. I haven't flipped yet so a nice throttle range is important while i learn. Never looked at dasa and i dont see much happening with the wdk motor much anymore but im also not in the mix with everybody. love to hear what people have to say before i pull the trigger (so to speak ha) on next motor i get

Not realy fair putting the TPE 964 in here, it is a SS where the others a 10 mm strokers.

Regardless of the stroke it puts out some serious brap. I wouldn't count it out since its a SS. And if that does bother someone they have the 900 comp motor which im sure from what ive heard would be unfair comparing that motor to the others

All good engines. Moral to the story is set it up per the builders specs. NO DEVIATION . This drastically reduces all ur stress and wtf posts that follow when peeps don't get the same bang they experienced on someone else's well setup ski who did exactly what the builder told them.

I rode Brian Dennis' XS900R. It was as far from a light switch as you can get. They set his up differently because he was racing it. I'm not sure how specifically, but Xscream doesn't sell any junk. I'm sure if you told them what kind of power curve and application you wanted, that is exactly what you would get.

I would suspect a lot of the 900cc sized motors are 62t based because they are designed to be sold as top end kits. Anything that requires a 66e case is going to need special hardware to install. If power is more important to you than ease and of installation, buy the bigger motor that comes with an AM made, 66e based case.

not a xs900r
its a ss900 (stock stroke)

I have blaster 800cc power valve ski. Will rip engine out bore it out to 87mm. Port it. Get the cylinders coated. Then install 927cc in my freestyle hull. These 66e engines are 7 ports. With big throats going up the side of the cylinder feeding the ports . With more crankcase volume . But they are heavier .
