I picked up one of the Weeks Brothers E-Box covers at Daytona this year, the fit, finish and function was so nice, I had to try some other of their products. I ordered their flame arrestor covers and one of their Pack Out jetting tool kit. The flame arrestor covers fit great and they are well made. The jetting tool kit finally allowed me to organize all my jetting tools and keep them with my jets. It even came with screw drivers that actually fit the jets properly! I highly recommend all of these.IMG_1090.jpgIMG_1061.jpgIMG_1021.jpgIMG_1089.jpgIMG_1088.jpg

Let's share something positive to appreciate Weeks Brothers initiative and efforts. @ScottS posted a really cool message that will help a lot of people learn about these products. Why criticize when there's so much negativity in every aspect of our lives? Can't this forum be a place for support and acknowledgment of interesting ideas? Of course, you can share your own opinion, provide constructive criticism, and also appreciate the positives in the same statement.
I'm saying this from the perspective of someone with a CAD/CAM background and a machine shop.

You're right, my apologies, no need to be negative in a hobby we all do because we love it. These guys are making products and that is what keeps the sport alive, I retract my staement.

The parts are cool, and it's nice that 3D printing introduces an avenue for low volume parts without need of access to a machine shop. As someone who has designed, printed and sold parts in the past, I would be cognizant of the need to up the level of finish a touch in relation to the price. The definiton of the STL is lower than I would expect, which is why the circle appears as a polygon instead.

I would be slightly nervous about the ASA and its exposure to petroleum, but if these are just choke cups I wouldn't be concerned. Prolonged exposure to petroleum can make ASA brittle and flaky.

The packout insert, however, is wicked, and I think this is an area where 3D printing is almost unbeatable.

In retrospect, I apologise for my negative comments, and in fact if anyone would like some 3D printing tips for their own parts I would be more than happy to guide people in the right direction.

Those that can do it do it , those that can't talk poop about those that do.

I have a Weeks brothers SN alignment tool here , I was very impressed with the quality.

For those of you that think you can go buy a 3D printer , plug it in and start making nice parts please by all means do that and let us know how it goes.

I'm really impressed with your response, and I'm glad there's no more drama, just a cool conversation between people who share the same passions!

3d printed stuff will not hold up in the long run. This is all too real in the RC realm and other hobbies. My buddy just gave up on 3d printing because parts kept failing.

Be honest here if you can look at that packout kit and not see the sheer amount of time and effort it would take to design something like that then there probably is no hope for you.

I do a lot of 3d printing and designing. I have prints that have been in service for many years is harsh environments. (dirt bikes, jet ski's etc...).

Agree ive been printing and using functional parts for years 10+. 3D printing is also great for prototyping before machining or printing in aluminum.
