What AM hull to transition to from FX1?

I'm slowly getting my FX1 back together (after not riding for over a year...) and its got me thinking about getting an aftermarket hull soon. What do you guys think would be a good transition from an FX1? Ive only ridden a SJ once but it felt way to big and bulky, even with the 1200 in it. I recently moved to Florida so hopefully there is plenty of surf in my future, but I'm looking for an all around type of ski.

Shadow , never saw one in the flesh but i hear great things about the rickter range. A bit expensive though , and how do they compare size wise to the FX1..?

Your asking a very loaded question, that is sure to have everyones opinion shortly to follow. best answer is get out to a freeride and meet up with people and test ride skis and make your own decision.

That being said, your not going to find an AM hull that really compares to an FX1. most AM hulls are going to be shorter and wider than an FX or a superjet. For surf you have lots of choices, my personal choice is the Krash Predator, although Tigercraft and Rickter are also very good boats.

If you search the FX mafia, those guys rock modified FX1 and kill it in the surf.

I love my FX1 and have a Rickter Edge 1000cc on the way. I can't do superjets. I'll let you know how it goes
