What are the chances foam in 08 SJ tray is saturated

Thinking about installing foot holds in my SJ but seeing these build threads of having to remove all the oem foam looks like a nightmare. What are the odds that it can be dry in there or wet

You can always drill small holes (maybe 1/8 inch) in the rear of the hull just above the lowest points on each side. If it drains water you will know. You can plug these holes with a variety of products, or a couple stainless screws. I would use a white puddy I cannot recall the exact name of at the moment. Tec-mix?

Could also weigh the ski, I did at the local scrap yard, came in at 338, indicating it had wet foam

What weight would indicate it’s dry?

Here is what is listed as dry weight.

Don't forget to subtract your fuel weight and any extra weight of things you've added to the ski from the current weight.

I wouldnt waste time worrying about it. Its a minimal amount of weight added. 2 gallons of water is like 15 lbs.
