What are these bikes worth??

looking at these but leaning towards the KTM. Which is a better deal? a grand more and get the 2006 Kawi???
Ide only be using it for shoret communtes around town.
Any input like right now is appreciated, cuz im going to look tonight.

Not a big fan of the KLR but both of those seam a bit pricey to me.

I'd look for a KTM 450 or 525 EXC. They'll be a lot lighter than that KLR. They can be registered as street legal too. Not sure what prices are compared to here, but.......

From what I hear the older LC4s had issues and the KLR that I had was poorly constructed IMO.

went and looked at the KTM tonight. Fuel dripping from the overflow, antifreeze coming out the overflow tube, oil leaking from the left engine cover (I think thats where the oil pump is). Other than that, its a very clean but LOUD bike. He will come down to 1900.00 No turn signals, or horn. Bike has some good power but im going to pass on the KTM. Might look at the KLR tomorrow.

Haven't owned the 650, but have owned the klr250. The klr250 is a work horse and comparable to the energizer bunny if maintained well.

On the klr board I frequent, the 650 doesn't get ranked anywhere near as high as the 250. $3k for a 2006 doesn't seem bad, but if you hold out long enough, you'll probably eventually come across an older klr for a lot less.

On a side note, kawasaki no longer makes klr's. Now they're branded as something else.

A Suzuki? Oh man last time I had a Suzuki, it was nothing but trouble. Yea I saw those two bikes on CL, Im just not sure about a Suzuki. Price is right though.

They're supposedly built better than the KLR and are slightly more off-road friendly.

i've heard good things on the suzuki's in this category of bike but im with you, last yellow bike we had gave us nothing but crap its whole life, two other friends i know didnt have good luck either, but those were all different mx bikes(rm125, rmz250 and rmz450) and they were all tranny problems. i know of 2 cases where the larger aftermarket tanks on the 400s made them ride terrible, just fyi, i dont know that that is universal or not.
