Heh. I run the ATP Flame TL and hopefully two full-time 500GPH bilge pumps.
I will be running a standard mounted Jetworks battery. Weighs a whopping 13.4lbs, but I figure I can afford it with the rest of my components.
I got my carbon waterbox in the mail yesterday. :woot:

I would run a ETX12, 180 cca, it's gonna run 2 pumps no problem, still light weight.

ETX9's work fine until u suck some water and have to crank the crap out of it in the surf!

I'm running a etx14 in my FW freak

ETX12 Weight: 9.4 lbs

ETX12 Dimensions: Length: 5.90" x Width: 3.40" x Height: 5.20"
.....................................................................................................................................................
ETX-9 Weight: 6.3lbs

ETX-9 Dimensions: Length: 5.9" x Width: 3.4" x Height: 4.2"

You are running the epic and not TL why carry 3lbs more...

stock airbox to keep water out of motor ?

Yes stock airbox here, problem is I used to sink my ski all the time, I'm hoping with the new oem hoodseal and no scupper my ski will stay alot more dry inside but, we will see!

No scupper? Running no pumps with my FW ski, only the scupper works great & no problems

I have been told these run very dry, I figured I would allow water the fewest venues to get in as possible, these skis cost to much to wind up at the bottom of the Chesapeake! Do you guys like mounting them in the front (stock) location Josh? Or do you like it behind the motor best. Also let me know when you have a minute to look up those paint colors! Thanks for all the help guys! I'm really starting to get excited now! I can effectively begin counting the days down til I get to start my build thread!

Not having any time to work on mine sucks azz. I've had it for nearly a month now, and it's still another month away from the water I'm afraid. :crying:
Oh well, water temps are still 35 degrees.

I've already prepared my significant other that not only will it be all that I do when I get home for 2-3 weeks! I'm really glad I don't have kids! I'd never get it done.

I prefer the battery in the back, its just a PITA to get in & out. My new surf freak will have the battery in the Right Rear (B Pipe), My FW ski has it on the Left Rear just above the scupper.

I'll work on paint colors after lunch

I so it seems the etx 12 is the best option for me? Kind of a split the difference as far as weight to cca/ capacity. Will it fit in the rear right area? I am running my b pipe also. How hard would it be to make up a battery tray for it? I'm not great with carbon

I forgot!
i made up a tray for mine and mounted kinda in the regular spot. now that i think about it, i must have the deka12 and not the 9. i get the weight mixed up. i used alum plate, channel, rivits, 2 threaded rod, and some rubber strapping i found.

I have a thrust battery box that my buddy gifted to me that I can modify to make it work. I think I'm set on the 12 after doing some more research and talking to my Deka rep
