Other What do you use to cut your hull?

Whats the best tool to cut into a hull with? I heard dremels work pretty good, but I also heard of people wearing theirs out using one

Depends on what you're cutting and how much. Sawzall, jigsaw, angle grinder, dremel - they all work well for different parts of the hull.

Multitool from Harbour Fright $39. I have been amazed at how good it is. Minimum dust since it vibrates instead of spinning like a dremel or grinder.

I broke three bits with the RotoZip before I said hell with it and went with the reciprocal saw.

I second that, however this is a fein on the other end of the $$$ spectrum.

I use angle grinders for long straight cuts like taking out the tray for defoaming. For small curved sections, I've tried die grinders, dremel tools, jig saws, and recipricating saws. The best thing I've ever used for small curved sections is actually an aggresive router bit. It's like slowly drawing on paper so you can make any tight corner you want but you can mess up and make it jagged if you're careless.

The vibrating tools are cool but you're still limited to the size of the corner you can make with it.

There is no other tool to use other than a Fein / or other multi master . Dust control with a bagged shop vac is a piece of cake . Di grinders cut fast but are hard to control and make a terrible mess . Do yourself a favor . I will be the most used tool in your shop .
