probably dropped from fear of being trashed. seems thats all people wanna do anymore.
I did some housecleaning this weekend. My script doesn't work 100% so I have to manually deactivate advertisers so they don't appear on that page, though their banner may have run out and is out of rotation already. I only do it when I think about it and happened to this weekend.

This site is full of people that already know who they do and don't want to buy from. A banner ad isn't going to sway anyone but a newbie who is still learning who's who and what's what.
Just my opinion but that "fear of being trashed" thing is just ridiculous. PWCT was the biggest soap opera on the net and they never lacked sponsors.
It's all about the bottom line. If the businesses that paid for ads were getting a good return for their money they would have been back for more.
You don't have the full story either. Based on the statistics for clicks and feedback from advertisers, they were getting a decent return for a whopping $25/month<<<---eating out once.
