Custom/Hybrid What if you extended a Power factor pipe to run a 4 gallon tank ?

Just curious, what if you extended a PF pipe so you could run a four gallon tank ? I think it would effect the power curve to some degree . It would need to be extended a minimum of 2 with 2.5 being optimum at the manifold for a superfreak . Just kicking it around I have a 4 gallon RCI tank with a slanted bottom.

The RCI is shaped like a parallelogram . The top of the tank sits almost flush with the hood lip when you level it up front to back. You have to slant it back toward the motor and add a shim under the tank to gain clearance from the cylinder.... basically level it up . All this is fine ........" IF "you can move the pipe 2 to 2.5 inches forward . If I can't move the pipe, I may heat the ever loving sh*& out of it and bend it until it fits or break it .

Sorry missed the part about it being a RCI tank. I got mine from thrust, it was a jaz tank. It was shaped similar just not a angled as that tank you pictured.

well now your talking about a wdk unicorn exhaust.. mine damn near hits the front of the hull, if i still had a pfp i would take a pic of them next to each other.. i say go for it

Exhaust diffuser coupler section ...... sounds complicated ......

I would prefer just heat forming the tank , but am unsure if the polyethylene substrate will handle the delta -T required for a said duration to attain the desired shape .

If you reshape the tank, it won't be 4gal. anymore. Polyehylene can be injection molded somewhere between 400 and 500 degrees, and can be remelted as well from what I remember. Using a heat gun to soften the tank seems like a pretty easy deal.
