Hey guys, I just picked up what was believed to be a factory b pipe from another member. After it came in, I noticed that it is actually branded "mariner pipe" on the pipe and chamber. I've tried pulling up info on this pipe but all I could find is that is is sometimes referred to as an "a pipe". Can someone fill me in on more details on it or if it is actually still a good pipe for a freestyle ski?

its just a copy

Mariner n few other companies made the exact same copy as the original FPP head pipe.

mariner should only be 2 adjustment screws n the newer FPP are 3 screws.

hope you didnt pay a ton cause the mariner is worth lil less.... I sold a complete butch's FPP for $280

Don't be too let down, the Mariner version was made by FPP, branded as and sold by Mariner. Not a "copy". But it was the earlier 2-screw type. Still a great pipe.

Ok so was $500 really a rip? I don't believe he was trying to misguide me or anything but the pipe deff needs some real cleanup and not Sure if the screws even turn. He didn't want to turn them

It's for a 701. It came with the manifold "has single cooling inlet", it's missing the bolts that bolt the C section of the pipe to the manifold, unknown if the screws turn in that section (he didn't want to try to turn them). the silicone coupler is missing one clamp. The chamber is pretty beat up and dirty and is mariner also and is missing the silicone coupler that attaches it to the water box.

Edit: I re read this and realized I only criticized the pipe and made it sound bad. The positive is the chamber isn't rusted, cracked or dented severely anywhere. A good painting and it'll be good. The Head pipe is in clean condition and shows no rust on the screws and the pipe appears to be taken care of.

its customride he knew exactly what it was and posted that information. early b pipe two screws, mariner chamber, fpp mani and headpipe rebranded. 500 shipped isnt that bad. it will still hit pretty hard if you get it bored out and get the injection screws to work.

a decent machinist can get one of the same screws and tap a bottom screw if you want it for top end for an hour of shop rate.

also, turning the chamber injection nozzle to shoot down the stinger instead of 90* in will help too. the 90* will jjust clog up flow
