FX-1 What is this on the handle pole bracket?

Hello all, I got my handle pole in the mail, and there was nothing left of the mounting plate on the original handle pole, and I'm wondering what this does? It rotates about 90 degrees.

Yeah i figured it out shortly after i posted, and realized it was a really stupid question haha
