What oil and oil ratio are people running?

Hi everyone,

I recently picked up my first 1993 Waveblaster 1 and couldn’t be more excited. The oil pump delete has been done and I’m wondering what is the best oil and oil ratio to use. Motor has apparently been bored 5 over i was told and has a protec pipe. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Get one (or a few) of those, the key is having the top that you can seal so you just seal it up and it won't make a mess from that little bit of oil that never comes completely out, I have a handful of them so I can put one in the shop and one in the trailer and so on wherever I might need on. 1 pint to 5 gallons is 40:1, the mix I choose mostly out of convenience.

So nice to see an oil thread where there aren't 100 people preaching castor oil. 1st reply hit the nail on the head. Most important is tcw3 (marine) 2t oil. For it's corrosion properties. People are so worried about piston/ cyl wear that they overlook crank bearings and corrosion. Even more important if the ski sits a lot.

Mixing bottle: I got mine at Canadian tire (noticed you're in Canada)

Enjoy the ride, June is a great time to get on a new ski!

Thank you for your information. I will be checking out Canadian tire this weekend. What brand of oil do you run? I’ve been checking out Amazon but everything is hit and miss on availability. Where do you suggest buying oil in Canada? I come from a snowmobile background and bought the waveblaster as a summer toy. We run brp two stroke oil in our sleds for warranty purposes.

I use Klots Skicraft. Its a good oil and tc-w3 rated. Sometimes hard to find in Canada if you don't live near a dealer which is my situation. There might be a dealer out your way. I get mine from motomike.ca (Canadian dealer) Decent shipping rates and good prices on the oil itself. Link below:

If you need oil in a hurry, anything tcw3 off the shelf at Canadian tire will do you fine.
