Yama Lube is fine. Klotz skicraft and maxima super m are great alternatives if you can't find the YL. They are available shipped to your door off eBay or Amazon.

Just make sure it's 2 stroke TcW-3 approved oil. I have ran the the cheap pennzoil and quicksilver in all my skis the past 10 years. I would even recycle oil from oil tanks of skis I parted never had a problem....talk about cheap ass! This year I bought an expensive motor so I found Amsoil Dominator at $170 for 2 cases (8 gallons) at snocross this past weekend. So I'm going to run that the next couple of years

Be sure and mix the amsoil properly. I've seen several guys burn up motors because the sales reps claimed amsoil worked as good at 100:1 as others at 40:1. Good oil, but still mix at your normal ratio.

When I say expensive motor to me, that's a 1k 718cc 61x top 64x bottom motor with an ADA head haha. Don't have the deep pockets yet for a big boy motor

I'll be at 50:1

Thanks for the info guys.....

Heres another newb question.....About how much oil do you go through in a season? I guess what Im asking is how much fuel do you use in a single day....???
I have had stand up before but they were older beater style...so im not sure if the newer ones do better on fuel or not. Moderate lake riding just hitting wakes etc..nothing crazy. Just asking for a ball park number.... a tank a day?? more?? less??

Last year I'd say I ran through 3.5 to 4 gallons of oil. I rode a lot from end of April to end of July. Had my season cut short. Was going through 3/4 a tank of fuel to a whole tank on average. That was riding on a river and surf in Lake Michigan. Sometimes I'd take long cruises up the shoreline and burn through two tanks in a day.

Thanks rhugo21....great info...that's I was using about 1-2 tanks in my 750sx when it would run right a day. Good to know on these new ones too. I was wondering because I was just going to order my oil online before the season here in MN

I ran a single carb 61X motor last year. I bought my 2014 as a bare hull with pump. This year I'm going dual carb motor so I think it'll be sipping more premix this year

Your superjet will be premix and go for a looooong long time. Hope you enjoy it! I'm going to be buying a new one hopefully this fall/winter when they drop in price

Yea..unfortunately I got this thing called a job. Where I'll be working 70-80 hours and traveling the country selling real estate. Making money is more important to me than riding since I graduated college
