Hey xh20!
Ive recently bought a rok hull and am trying to figure out the best pump set up for it.. i plan to put the xs900 motor in it ..
I primarily ride lake and river.. but also visit oceanside a couple times a year.. maybe more frequently now that i have a ski more suited for rippin surf..
Any input helps
Thanks

Ok now what about like a set back pump.. is that gonna help much.. is it worth the extra $ and hassle..? ..

The new H2O pump is a deal...I don't think the extra 1k for setback is worth it. There is also a few used pumps in the for sale section. I run a 155 pump on my 900 cc motor and it handles it great. What is your electronics, carb, and pipe setup?

Ya i saw the 148 h2o for sale on here.. looks like a bad ass pump.. definitely pricey..
Now if i got a set back pump.. its not actually bolted in further back ..the prop just is set back correct. ..???

the h2o pump is the cheapest new 148 on the market. The setback pump is not mounted different, the vane section of the pump is just moved back 2 inches.

What size pump shoe ? Will it take 155 mm pump the maybe try a stock 155 you safe money for pump tuning. Ther is a thread in general about stock 155 pumps.

The RokR which is the newer version of the ROK will only take up to 148 without some serious grinding etc. I am almost certain that your ROK shoe will max out at 148.
I have a ported and stroked 865 in mine and with the 148 it rips and flips nice.

My friend has ROK-R pro dry carbon hull with 66e bored out to 927cc and ported with slime line 155 pump 14 vein Skat-Trac 8-12 impeller 89.7 reduction outlet. This boat is easy to back flip. Now my other friend has ROK-R as well with a non power valve 66e 927cc - 155 Solas impeller 11/14 with 96mm reduction nozzle outlet.
