I am selling my AC pole for something shorter and am leaning towards a standard length Xscream adjustable but would like to run riser bars. My first choice is to bore the pole for stock bushings and run the Cold Fusion steering but since I am starting fresh, I have the choice of any steering. Is there something that goes onto the XM pole without any modifications and has fatbar clamps?

Go bushingless like cold fusion or a double seal system like ATP/Titan/Arura. All off which will be maintenance free for several years

For the RRP steering on xmetal pole with straight RRP bars- center hole needs to be slightly enlarged for the bearing hub to fit through. The newer x metal poles are pre drilled/ tapped for the four smaller bolts but if its an older model you may need to drill and tap. The steering stop needs to be modified. Pole pad needs trimmed.
I was curious about going this route, I didn't measure it but it looked like it would need to be very thin to get it to fit inside the XM pole. Does the hexagon protrusion on the bottom of the pole seem to have any effect on the life of the bushing, I also worried that it would work its way through that bottom bushing.
It is thin thats forsure, as far as the hexagonal thingy on the bottom its hasn't seem to effect the bottom bushing yet and I run it quite tight.
If you are planning on running stock chin pad might want to check the clearance with the steering stop and chin pad post. I had to turn that down to work with the turn plate too.
