The result of destruction from a 40 cal. Maybe next weekend I'll finish it off with a .308

LOL...shooting at inanimate object when you're pissed at them is a great form of therapy. We're taking my buddy's Motorola Razor and his old Sony PS one to the range- the 40 should destroy both with much greater ease than it did your pump!

On another note- that is an easy $25 or at the most $40 fix with an aftermarket plastic liner I thought....why the hate?

only if you have the aftermarket housing to begin with, they are cast thicker so you can have a plastic liner, the stock one is done, I heard that someone can redo them. like impros or atlantic jetsports or someone.

You are not going to believe this but, I had a bunch of swollen wear rings and wanted the aluminum (cause I was getting ready to make a recycle run and get a few $$$ for the junk aluminum). I had to get creative on getting the steel sleeves out. Tried a hammer, throwing it down on the ground, etc. Nothing was working. Being creative, I looked around the garage a bit and came across my hydraulic jack. Ok, now I had to figure out what to wedge it up against. I kept looking around and when I got to my Land Rover the friggin light bulb went off. There was enough clearance to put the jack underneath the land rover and fit the wear ring between the jack and the frame of the rover. I started cranking the jack and about the ninth pump there was a nice cracking sound. Looked underneath and voila, the wearing aluminum housing was in four pieces. I had several more to do so I got my nephew and daughter involved. We took turns cranking and we guessed how many cranks it would take.......good cheap fun!
