The fire extinguisher on mine is tie wrapped to the under side of the hood on the left side. If I ever wanted to remove it I would have to cut the ties.

When you slam your ski a few times it's like a bomb, I'll pay the ticket before I let all that powder crap ingest in my engine and ruin it.Been there, done that.

How illeagle is it to fill with compressed air?

And if it does go off inside your engine compartment and all the powder / fine sand gets sucked up into your engine, how bad does it get?

Sure it'll stall out, and clog the carbs, but once you run a gallon through it it would fix itself?

I saw that someone liked the way they put their foot under the stock extinguisher compartment on his square nose, that he installed one on his round. Maybe that is an option for some.

brian wants to do that on the grey rn...he uses it for a toe hold on my ski...personally i dont stand that far forward

i already got a $70 citation for having a dead one ( fire extinguisher). How the heck am i suppose to know if its dead without squirting the crap out? certainly not common knowledge....

The button on top of PWC models pops back up when pressed with the safety clip still in... stuck down or stays down it's bad. Or some have gauges..

Sanford has this done on his RN.... with brackets to re-enforce for leverage. Looking to do the same if I find a box cheap. I believe pics are in his build or posted somewhere on here.

I suppose you could fill it with compressed air if you added a small valve on the tank. It's just an aluminum tank with a screw on plastic trigger valve assembly.

I know that yellow powder is some nasty stuff and it sticks to everything.

These are some great ideas for fire extinguishers, tow rope, ice cold beverages, compressed air, extra 2-cycle oil or gas, etc. I'm starting to think that I should be carrying more than one on the ski now.

the powder in an extinguisher is a highly corrosive substance that screws everyting up and it is really bad JUJU. leave the extinguisher in the garage. mine sits on my dining room table for kitchen emergencys and thats all it's good for anyways. But the gatoraide thing is a really good Idea. I may have to try that.

exactally.dont put it in you hood...they will go off inside when you land hard

Ask SXR LOU he had 2 blow inside his hood both cost him new motors. That stuff sucks the oxygen out of the air... what your ski needs to breath...
