What kind of computer do you have? Windows or Mac? How bigs your harddrive on it?

there's plenty of different software for all sorts of computers. Just need the right stuff

Windows 7 on the computer I plan to use or XP on my other I might. I have tons of space on both so that won't be an issue. I haven't looked through or played with the stuff that comes with the computer yet either. Just wondering if there is a particular one thats more popular than most.

I use Adobe Premier Elements. Its very powerful, but it does take some time to learn. If your looking for something more basic I would recommend Corel Video Studio. There are also some free editors out there, but I've never thought any of them were worth a crap.

Premier elements and most others are mac compatible I believe. If you've really got some cash to drop, Final Cut Pro.

After his question gets answered can someone chime in on a mac? i have a macbook pro...

iMovie is probably the cheapest and best. IMO, i use the old iMovie HD and the brand new iMovie...So theres my 2 cents for the mac side, the windows side was exactly what i was going to say. If you want any help with anything on your computer feel free to PM me, i pretty much know what i'm talking about! lol

what what exactly what you were going to say about the windows side? I just played with movie maker today that came on the computer and it will probably do what I want it to for now since I dont have much money unless there is somthing alot better for real cheap.

If you want to use final cut pro, you don't want to do it on a laptop. I have it on my laptop and desktop, and while the lap top 'can' do it, it is much better with the power of a desktop.

For 90% of the amateur guys out there, me included, the new imovie will do what you want. If you are serious about make retail grade stuff, final cut pro or even final cut express is what you want. At least for a mac.
