The bottom price of an old ski is whatever a kid that wants a ski is willing to pay. Problem is that its usually too much considering the condition of whats out there today. Old skis are great deals only when they are in great condition. Its getting difficult to find a cheap way to get anything decent. Look at the condition and value of all the parts, that is the maximum price.

I picked up this cherry '90 650 and trailer a few months back for $500 with a title. I ended up selling it to a friend that really wanted a ski for the same price but I kept the trailer. Deals are out there you just gotta check craigslist constantly.

Why would a regular SJ have no title? No title = stolen = worthless

so no title equals stolen huh? no exceptons. i cant believe the old man i bought it from actually boosted it from someone. i wonder what else he is gulity of. suprising cause he didn't have that sinister look about him.

some states dont have titles.
does it have registration #s?
if you ride on a private lake you may not need reg #s.

If it has reg #s from a state that requires titles you can do a search for the last "registrant".

I am still waiting to find my $500 SN.
