looking for a nice heavy duty switch to turn my TL on and off. I was thinking of putting it on a rotary style bilge switch, but not sure of the switch has enough amp rating. what's everyone else using?

On/off switch is only a 12v signal. Just about any switch will work. Alot of guys use "bildge" switches. Shifty is also nice unless it gets stuck open o_0

I use something simple that works, an oem male/female wire connector like what's used in a ebox. Wire zip tied up high to rear cylinder waterline, I can unplug it without taking hood off.

I use the "Shifty mod" (dbl. latching relay). Prior to that I used CPI K1005-509 watertight (down to 15') which cost about $100. (the rainproof ones are cheaper but don't last).

Hard wired. Pull the positive lead off battery when im not riding. had a shifty module crap out after 5 hours.

I think I'm going with water proof toggle. mounted under hood. Thanks for the replys. I'm going to be switching the ground side though. don't want to run voltage through a switch when I don't need to.

I just used a fuse on the positive side. No chance of that failing. If you're going to mount under the hood anyways, why take a chance on another failure point for TL
