When will photo gallery come back?

Planning on posting some for sale threads, but no photo gallery.
Any idea when it will return of should I just use another site for posting pix?

I probably won't bring it back. It wasn't that user friendly plus you can upload pics into your Albums now (in your User CP, the link is on the left) and I can add some hacks to enhance those.

Also, there is a major revision to vbulletin coming later this year that is a total rewrite so things may change anyway.

I'm also a little leery of the gallery software since it hasn't been updated in a couple of years and one of the gallery directories is where the hacking was based out of.

I never used the gallery anyway. I just post my pics on the thread and that's it.

So am i missing something on the new gallery?

The new format is great, love the link to "user's album". but I can't upload any new pics to any of my folders. Do I have to ceate new albums to add new photos?

I changed it to allow 250 total pictures/user. You were probably at the 100 limit.

You might as well get rid of the entire "Photo Gallery" link as it serves no purpose. You get the "oops" message except for the "Archived Gallery" link which I doubt anyone uses that GUI anyways.

I like the user album links - and the new pics on the side of the forum. Saw several things I haven't noticed before. The gallery link was so worthless for anything specific. Not user friendly at all! It will be interesting to see what the update brings.

The new gallery is very nice and user friendly. light years ahead of the last gallery...now if i could only figure out how to host pictures into my threads properly...

Just right-click the picture, copy image location, then paste that in the insert image dialog on a post.

Is there a way to search the directory for a specific pic, i.e. by keyword in the file name?
