Where to buy stand up jet skis

Hey guys, i'm new here.

I saved up a decent amount of cash for a stand up this summer, but the bad thing is I cant find any!

I was wondering other then cragslist, this forum, and friends(Which none of mine own any skis). Is there any other good places to look around to buy stand ups?

I should have around 3K and change by April. I was looking at a square nose SJ, or even a RN if there is one in the price range.

Just did a big search for a 750 or an older superje for a friend and found some nice superjets up in Minneapolis/St Paul area

I've used uship.com for shipping skis and boats a few times. It's worked out great and is surprisingly reasonable in price. Most people selling skis are very helpful with shipping arrangements. It's worth looking into. Generally speaking, ski prices will start going up soon...

I think you need 8 posts to be able to, then it may be a waiting period. Get your posts up then wait a day you should be clear.

Create a Craigslist acct and add an alert for "jet ski" or "superjet" , and it will email you whenever a new post with those words are posted. And when you find a deal, strike fast.

Buying a superjet in WI is such a bitch unless you have a hookup with someone. Craigslist is a sketch-fest and most squarenoses you find are over priced and the owner thinks they have a gold mine no matter if its a 550, superjet, sxr, doesn't matter. Scour CL 4 times a day, (not joking) searching every possible keyword. Most good deals dont last hours.. Also be very careful you don't buy something from Dirk Diggler. Theres about a 50% chance you'll get whats advertised, and a 50% chance it works as it should. After a few days you'll have a keen eye for his ads.

Oh and I guarantee watcons (john zig) superjet in the above post will be as well built as they come, and it has tubbies already which are the best mod you can do in my opinion. If you have the cash, I would consider paying the premium to have the ski built by him.

440dude, sorry I do not do PM's here. Currently this ski is in storage, as I have 2 other skis to build first. I believe I may have this ski in a background picture somewhere. You can email me watcon@watcon.com and remind me what you want. I will see what I can dig up.

Also, I have been documenting everything on facebook. If you are on facebook, friend me John Zigler and you will see first hand when I bring the ski into the shop. Be sure to like Watcon as well.

I do know this is a high price, ( I totally understand) but this really is an awesome Square. Low hours, mint paint, and graphics. (aftermarket graphics kit). I know for a fact, if anyone was to buy an average ski, and build you will have more into it than this will be in the end.

Feel free to call the shop anytime as well if you want to talk in person. I am on the X everyday, but only for a short time in the mornings.

@The440Dude welcome to the forum and to the addiction. im not sure if the jet ski market where you are at is anything like the one here in Colorado but I can tell you that around here craigslist will have nothing listed until about April and then all of a sudden a million skis will be listed through about June. Be patient. I'm sure something will come along.

Like others said, Shipping is pretty common with guys on here and most of the sellers will probably be willing to arrange it as long as you pay for it. Just make sure to visit the seller feedback section and research the member you are working with. Most guys in this community are on the up and up but there are a couple guys on here who have a very bad reputation.
