Where to buy steering bearing cup?

my umi steering system bearing was completely rusted out and the bearing is stuck in the bearing case. Where can I find just the case? In the picture it's the black circle right under the nut that says blowsion

I want to get rid of this whole bearing system, it's just one more thing to break. Can I use OEM bushings with the umi turnplate?

I switched to ADA a few years back but I have a couple old UMI's that I keep as backups. I would be willing to part with a cap if you really need one.

If you would be willing to part ways with one that would be awesome. UMI is out of business i believe. If i cant find one I'm just gonna have to go back to stock setup but ive heard very good things about the feel of a bearing setup. Let me know. Thanks. We could do some trading for some custom OCD solutions stickers or if not I'm paypal ready.

It's ugly but cover shipping ($6.45) and it's yours. Ill even throw in the base and stud.

It's actually the same one I had the bearing stuck in. Most of the scaring comes from us trying to get the old bearing out.

heat the cap and use bearing puller.it'll pop right out.

Well i think my whole steering is shot..... the person ran it without the large o-ring, thrust bearing, and 2 washers that sandwhich the thrust bearing. Basically it was metal grinding on metal.....

Remove the inner race and ball bearings and weld a bead on the inside of the outer race. It will slide right out. Replace with a stainless steel bearing you can find on eBay, and it will last really long.

Just FYI, Jetmaniac sells the UMI rebuild kit with the nylon bearing that eliminates the metal bearing.
