Which battery should I buy??

My 1994 FX1 came without a battery so I dont have naything to go off of. What is a decent inexpensive battery to pick up at lets say the auto parts store, walmart, or something similar.

Thats a good deal. I just ordered one. Is that enough cranking power?

Autozone has the ETX 9 for $83. Is that good?

etx9 will work, but has low cold cranking amps. It will only turn the skis engine over for a short time, if you have issues starting you will be an angry sob stranded at the launch someday with that battery. Mine died when i was just trying to prime my gas line and it was new last year and I kept it charged in the house over the winter. I would go with the next size bigger deka battery, its not like you are trying to save ounces in an fx1. Oddessy batteries are good as well, i had one of those last about 5 years

Will it fit in the battery tray of my FX1?

Yes. The are smaller in all dimensions. You will have to add some padding to the sides and cross and knot the battery cables. I think you save close to 10 lbs in weight.

Walmart sells an ETX12 for $54.99. Think Ill pick up one of those.
