SX/SXi/SXi Pro which resin to use?

Hello all!

Ok so im going to lay some carbon/kelar in my sxi pro engine bay but im stuck on which epoxy resin to use? im looking at the normall epoxy basecoat or the vinylester resin but im not sure which will stick best to the hull? does anyone know what the sxi pro hull is made from in the engine bay? or what will stick best?

The 635 thin epoxy system, stay away from the slow hardener. 3 to 1 medium or 4 to 1 fast hardener should workout well. Epoxy sticks to anything pretty much.

X2, 3 to 1, and i still run out of hardener, (med/fast kick)

This time of year especially, it will take days to cure.

Ya I made that mistake of getting the slow last winter. I would lay up a ton of stuff and it would take 2-3 days to cure. Talk about a super slow process.

Thanks for your replys guys! ordered some west systems epoxy and kevlar/carbon in the end, Will give it a bash and see how it turns out, Will be doing aa build thread so will report the out come on there
