Blew my 701 super jet motor. Wanting to rebuild. Looking for someone who rebuilds on the side. Really wasn’t looking to spend $5000 grand on a blowsion big bore.

Jetmaniac will also rebuild your engine. He has done my stroker twice now. He even paints it for you if you want.
I had JM send me some parts in one of his engine boxes so I wouldn't have to hunt something to put the engine in to ship. He makes everything convenient.

If not I'd say grab a local and rebuild it yourself.

It is a good idea to know how to rebuild our motors IMO.

I was looking for a little more power. Really just want that quick hook up. Giving me a better throttle response to the waves. Don’t care about top end speed. I live in Michigan so I ride the big lake all the time. Our waves are very close together and inconsistent.

Hearing dual carbs are a must. Is this necessary?
Willing to spend a few grand if it’s gonna be what I want. Also wouldn’t mind doing it in stages. So I wouldn’t want anything I couldn’t grow into.

Don't rule out changing props when you are done with the motor!

The right prop is a night and day difference.

That’s definitely on the list! My 701 was apparently worked on. When I opened it up I found a 0.50 stamp on the pistons and carbon fiber reeds. I was under the impression the only mods were the ADA girdled head. And a bigger carb.
Whoever did my engine didn’t do it right. As the screws on my reeds let loose and got sucked into the intake. Causing damage to my pistons, Cylinder walls, and domes, still unsure if the crank and rods are ok. Any way of testing that?

I have never tested a crank other than look/sound/feel.

Can put a dial indicator on the pistons and run the motor over tdc to make sure there's no dead spot.

Make sure you go with a legit builder and not your local dirtbike shop. Having someone build your engine that can also help tune it is key. Any of the people suggested in this thread so far would be great.
