Jet ski parked up on the rocks.
And that's why most rental places used 701's in their skis, like the XL700, Waveventure 700, etc. They know people are going to beat on them and do dumb things with them, but the Yamaha 701's just laugh at them and say, "Is that all you've got?" and they just keep running and running.DUUUHHHH Louie!
Probably a rental too. Rentals are a big part of the PWC accidents that happen. EDIT: Haha, just read that it was a rental, figures...
I worked at a sit-down and boat rental place some 20 years ago for 6 months and you would not believe some of the stuff people do and try to get away.
Makes total sense, you don't need a valid drivers license to rent a car either. Wait......Don't worry! in CA you have to take a boating course before you can legally drive a boat or pwc. But also you dont have to take the course if you are renting. lol
So many people so quick to dismiss the fact they rent them to anyone with any amount of experience, including zero. I'm sure they just had no idea what they were doing and didn't intend any harm or danger to anyone else.
That’s the Wedge on Balboa peninsula, the swell pushes into the man made jetty causing gigantic shore break waves that “POP” close to shore even on calm days. Body surfers, body boarders, and surfers catch the side wave created by the jetty out into the main surf.Jet ski parked up on the rocks.
How crazy is it that they found their way into that break at all and thought they where good. OR that the rental company didn't warn them not to go there? It's not like you are just riding along in the ocean then bam, inside the wedge, they had to see those waves as they where heading in.That’s the Wedge on Balboa peninsula, the swell pushes into the man made jetty causing gigantic shore break waves that “POP” close to shore even on calm days. Videos don’t do it justice.
Lots of people have been life flighted out of there.
Absolutely no way those people knew where they were at or grasped the concept of how dangerous it was.
