Who loves ebay?

I recently bought a finger throttle of ebay, get the box in from the seller and noticed it looked awefully big. Open it up and its a airbox off a suzuki hayabusa.

I also recently bought a ported 61x cylinder off there, the auction showed pics of the 61x stamp. Get it in and its a ported 6m6.

I love ebay.

I haven't had anything shipped incorrectly but ebay just isn't what it used to be. The fees are much higher and the deals are almost non existent. About the only way you can get a deal now is if someone does a real poor job of listing the item and you do your research to find what it really is.

I use amazon the most now.

ebay does not sell, ship or package. It is the person. Most likey on the OP, the shipper was sending out several items and just put the wrong label on.

Actually the guy with the finger throttle was cool about the mistake. He paid me the shipping to get it back and plus $15 for my troubles. I still havent recieved the throttle though. Your right bk, its not ebays fault. Each time you buy off there your dealing with a different person. I just thought it was funny.

as said above, i feel like i can't even get deals on there any more. in addition, you could be dealing with joe blow, you have no idea who is selling you the stuff, it may not be a reputable shop. ebay can be good if you do your research and you don't get in a huge bidding war w/ the rest of the world to drive the price up! I love when i see people pay more for stuff than it's selling in stores :)

I received an engine one time, whoever packed it packed it with stryo peanuts,he didn't tape the intake or exhaust,I had to completely disassemble the engine to remove the packing peanuts= P. One guy shipped me a Seadoo hood with cardboard wrapped around it,hood arrived crushed, the seller collected from UPS for the damage and gave me nothing but damaged goods.

Yeah I won't name any names here Dickwiggler

Wfo, ive had that happen as well with the peanuts all in my motor. You could turn it over and peanuts would spit out, lol. I tore it down.

Theres more to the finger throttle story. When I got the airbox in I looked on the shipping lable and there was a phone # on there. Since I was confused I called the #. It was a business and I started talking to some woman about the situation. She didnt know a thing about the situation. After talking to her a few times her and her boss figured out that someone that worked there was shipping their ebay items through the company so it wasnt costing them anything and pocketing the shipping charges, lol.

I'll continue to use ebay, you gotta take the good with the bad.

Guess someone will have some explaining to do at work... Sounds like a fantastic individual that sold you the stuff. That same thought crossed my mind before but I decided I like having a job instead.

I used to ship all my stuff at work through UPS,I didn't get paid squat so I got whatever I could get out of those guys lol.

E-gay as I like to call it. Id agree that its very rare that you find a good deal. There are so many sellers on there that sell stuff for full retail. HA, like im gonna buy from you. Any way, still go searching for stuff, and its cool to look at nice cars and whatever. But yea, not what it used to be.

Seem like I used to find good deals on cars/trucks on ebay but anymore its all dealers wanting retail. I find much better deals on craigslist. Just bought a 2001 f150 extended cab 4x4 with high miles for $1800 on cl.

I have found some good deals on Ebay but they take a lot of time find and luck to win. For some reason jetskiers like to sell junk, its hard to find parts that haven't been ruined by exposure. "Came off a running boat" yea, it was running before we sank it three years ago.
