Windex before paint?

I am pretty sure that I read somewhere back 12 years plus in an old hot rod magazine that you should wipe your car down with Windex before you paint. Or I am making things up in my head. But what it brings me to is, what should you wipe your ski down with before you paint after you have done some fiberglass work?

Grease and wax remover before you paint, making sure to have a clean, dry, lint free cloth to wipe it dry. Acetone after fiberglass work.

Acetone for fiberglass prep but not paint prep. Use a dedicated pre paint wax and grease remover. Acetone evaporates too quick to remove contamination before paint.

Not Windex
You can however use 409 to wipe down panels that have fingerprints, etc on them, that will take them off no problem. Just make sure to go back and hit it with wax/grease remover after

On bare fiberglass id use only wax/grease remover
