I'm lucky enough to live in South west England and ride all year round in surf. In fact we ride more in winter than summer due to better swells in winter.
I do feel for you guys in the States that can only ride in the warmer months

Actually had to break the shorty wetsuit out of hibernation this past Sunday. Nights in the 40s and shorter days and that water temp just drops like a rock. Good news is that all the drunk weekend warriors on couches have already tucked their barges away for the season, so it's much safer out there. Plus my town postponed the drawdown of the lake by a few weeks, so that extends the boating season as well.

Booooo! I already winterized my boat. A few more weeks for the skis. On the plus side, we booked Disney World for a week in December. Headed to Daytona for 5 days this year, then Aruba 1st week of March. Anything to get away from the cold.

Lake O is at 60F in the heat of the day.... Smaller lakes are closer to 70... 2/3mm on Friday and I was a little cold. Time for the 4/5 and the 8mm booties.
