My buddy started this today.....

Its the bottom half I just cut off for my 550/650 deck swap build.

And the question is to keep the pole?

Do an airboat style just like the kawasaki Jetmate had. There are a lot of options of steering cables you could use for whatever length you like. Use the proper through hull fittings to match the cable you choose.

Ya know, last night I was really let down by the maturity of the X, with most people choosing airboat style stick for steering. Very sensable and workable. And dumb.
