Are any of you freestyle guys rocking some kind of socks with wrestling shoes? I just got a pair of Asics Snapdown shoes and need some socks to go with them I guess. Neoprene or what?

I buy neoprene socks off ebay for dirt cheap. $5 shipped from china. depending on water temp, I wear up to 3 pairs.i have several larger size wrestling shoes I wear depending on how many socks I have on. works great and my feet are never cold.

I start without socks and as the holds and turf gets looser later in the season i switch to socks.

It seems like a good amount of the higher level guys don't wear any socks, but when I bought my brand new Asics, I was getting chafed, especially when in sand. I threw on my neoprene socks from my Slippery boots and I loved the experience.

I didn't wear socks when I wore cleats, but my wrestling shoes are too big not to, plus I am I so use to the extra layer with the socks that I can't wear just shoes. Not saying I'm a top level rider, just think it's a lot of personal pref and what your use to.
