Other WTB a good sit down for my girlfriend. Need help

So like it says i want to buy a sit for my girlfriend but not really sure what to get. I want something reliable and easy to upgrade. I want a ski that is easy to find parts for, for reasonable prices. I would like to spend around 1000.

So far i have came across a 96 seadoo xp and a 750 xi(forgot the year) both are clean. Wondering which ski may be better and what other skis may be out there i should look at.

Look for a 3 seater. They are more stable and that way she can bring her friends. I have a Kawasaki 1200 STXR for my wife and she loves riding it.

I dont know about your area, but in mine you can locate a good Waveraider for around $1200. I started life on a Waveraider 701 and was outrunning Kawi 750ss'. Then after she wears out the Raider hull, you can swap the trim pump and 701 into a Superjet lol

You can get a vxr pro with the 61x 701 for cheap, they are super reliable and most of the parts can be used in a sj, but they are really ugly!

I think , is the best way to go near the stand up if you follow my Tread ....... ;-))))

she can start with the seat and after few session, cut it and plug the handepole :Banane01:

How do the waveraiders ride? I was also looking at a blaster but heard the b1s are a little harder to ride and would be better off with a b2. Keep in mind its for my girlfriend, not me. She needs/wants something fun and easy to ride.

the XP has crazy power to weight ratio, super nimble and fun imo. Kinda tipsy with 2-up, small chop it will ride rough and usually needs intake grate/trim tabs to keep from porposing. pretty reliable motor/driveline. just some common issues to keep an eye on...motor mounts, loose lines to the oil pump, 30w oil in the lower engine case for the counter balancer shaft, exhaust manifold gasket, RAVE valve on exhaust pipe, oil in pump cone, VTS trim motor/boot for the rod…only full synthetic oil, if not the engine RAVE’s get gummed up fast...B1 or B2 is another fun choice

I picked up a b2 this winter for my girl. 1000 bucks on a trailer. changed all the purple pieces to black and put down some turf and i think its a good lookin ski. easy to work on, easy for her to ride, i rode it arround some and its pretty fun to fool around on.
