Want to Buy WTB: Boat Chaser AM Hull Hull/Project

Location
ATL
Looking for my first AM Hull. Typical riding is chasing wake, occasional full speed blasts around the pond, wanting an all-rounder, but in the same breath I'd rather a full on surf ski than something I'm stuck in a cove with, little interest in purpose built flatwater hulls. My only frame of reference is @brapperdoodle 's Predator which I adored.

Planning ported 735, 38's, Bpipe, 144 or 148.. Nothing too crazy

Shortlist:
SuperFreak Badass
TigerCraft's M1/V2
Rickter XFR
Open to anything really

I'm located ATL. Something I can plop a driveline in and go would be great.. But budget wise I'm cool with a winter project.
Also have a few Ski's I'd love to trade or partial trade.

I just want to mention that my Krash Predator is a 2014, The OG Australian hand laid hulls. I shortened it 2" and it is VERY close in dimensions to a Rickter Edge. And I love it too haha
Think it's heavy or lighter than the edge? my buddies reaper is a tank

I'm actually kind of interested in hearing ride reviews of the b1 and the sea doo with the triple. Compared to eachother and compared to the twins they normally come with. I'm not a couch guy and have very little time on either of those hulls but they seem like those two would be what I'd be looking at if I got a couch. And triples are cool.

I've had 21 Seadoo's, X4's and GSX(L)'s being the only relevant fun couches.. HX's & B1 not really a couch to me it's hard to relate them.

Anyone, and I mean anyone so long as they can physically can climb up on it can ride a Seadoo. A stock showroom floor B1 has given over confident grown ass men public embarrassment since it's inception. They're honestly to me harder to board than a standup. It's a null issue for me at this point I'll ride a b1 all day and never fall off or a standup for that matter, but it's a balance and climb to get on... plus no storage. They ride opposite of eachother B1's lean in, X4's kinda steer flat.

X4 wise I've had every stock configuration 717 & 787, limited 787, 951 swap running 65+, and this.

Stock I like 717 X4's best, they sit further back and don't have a heavy pipe hanging forward, no trickery to make it's power like raves etc, like the 787 (and 951) and are just overall lighter.
I really enjoyed the limited 787 with ecwi and a swirly prop before it melted down from a piece of straw, but the headache wasn't worth it.
The 951 setup was just too much, the ski just gets too out of control in its fun range, probably would have liked it better with a more fun impeller, was fast but lame bottom/mid with a concord. Plus looming fear of 951 unreliability constantly.

The Kawi triple is every bit as fun as the limited 787 was, but slightly better, no dependency on rare irreplaceable parts, no dependency on hardjetting & ECWI which has some bit of lag, but the triple is just instant torque & power. And so far for me the 1100 has been substantially more reliable. Weight bias Is much more like the 717. It's everything I love about the stock 717 ski's but 10mph faster and better, and I haven't even begun to try making power out of that 1100.

GS/X/L are pretty much just X4's fatter brother. Oddly I haven't had the honor of trying a 717 GS or GSI yet, but 951 they're monsters and much more ridable at high speed, 787 GSX may be the best allrounder 2stroke couch period.

The triple SPX is endgame X4 for me, not sure I'd have it any other way. If it sold and I had to have it again, I'd build a GSI the same way, primarily cause I only ride this ski on day's I've determined I'm too exhausted to be on a pole ski, GS hull is more comfy with more storage and substantially larger fuel tank.

The B1
The raddudes setup has the motor very far back. It doesn't porpoise for me really at all like alot of people run into. The weight is there compared to stock for sure, it's still tossable, it'll still do controlled spins. But what's weird about it is how much more sticky it is to the water. I see why people race them, the added weight central really hooks them up, just doesn't jump as well static trim as it did with the 701, but easily rectified

If you want a fun runabout couch experience grab a 717 X4 (95 XP or 96 SPX) you will love it and they are CHEAP, wife/girlfriend won't whine too much when you toss them the key to it either

Hey man, I have a really nice tigercraft v3. This thing does it all. It will hammer down in a straight line, flip off boat wake and small surf with a small motor. I have it as a complete ski with a lpw735 and a 155 pump. An m1 will not hammer down in a straight line so definitely don’t go that route if you want to cruise the lake

M1 will absolutely hammer in a straight line.. I one have and the thing does it all, if you’re riding more surf I’d recommend the v3 above the m1 cause it has a longer tray and recovers better

The v3 is probably the loosest hull I've ever ridden. It is sized almost identical to the 4.3 badass. I've ridden 2 different v3s. Both 701s with the supporting parts. One has a 155 pump thr other a 144 mag. The 144 mag ski is considerably looser than the 155 pump ski.

Can you elaborate? Everything everyone says about a Badass -4.3 is what I want.

But they're hard to come by.

The V3 is very accessible and available. But they look very different on paper to me.

The v3's molded in tubbies is the most off-putting thing about it to me. But idk what I'm doing.

Ahh damn. I could send you a video of me driving but that wouldn’t really give you too much to go by. What I can say is that it can go from idle, wack it full throttle and the hull will plant the front in a straight line without bouncing around like crazy. When you let off the throttle at high speeds the ski doesn’t wabble and slow down like it has brakes which I’ve seen other hulls do. Doesn’t get that speed wabble at higher speeds. When going a decent speed and you hit a small wake coming at you, it will spray you in the face like a lot of AM hulls. It will slide out very easy when turning but if you lean and drag hip, it just hooks so damn nice but you’re working for it. A longer ride plate may help this. The current one is 10” long and maybe 2-3” off the back of the hull. With a 701 it will flip off a boat wake. My buddy has a 5mil ET in his v3 and that thing flatwater flips so easy. It’s definitely a really versatile hull. This is everything I’ve noticed in my time riding the hull. I’m not going to lie to you to try and push a hull on you if it’s not what you’re looking for. I really like this ski and I’ll continue to ride it but if selling it helps me found a 1200 motor for the revolver then I’ll sell it haha
