So I was doing some subs and nose stabs today. Spending lots of time underwater, the bilges were working hard.
I get home and notice that the battery voltage is a bit low, so I take it out to charge.
The vent hose is filled with water...
The battery is over-flowing with murky lake water...
The damn water was flushing the battery through the vent hose somehow. I drained all the electrolyte/lake water hoping to refill it, but F it too much work.
Time for a new sealed battery I guess. I should have nabbed my 550's Deka before I sold it.
