Other X-Metal Waterbox vs ATP waterbox

I am probably picking up an X-metal waterbox but I wanted to ask if there are any major differences between the two.

From the various posts, sounds like the ATP may be a but deeper in sound. Maybe a tad bit lighter as well.

The x-metal seems taller so I was wondering if the straps fit better/tighter?

Just looking for the easiet fitment then, good function/performance since the weight saving are almost the same. I understand that the performance gains will be hard to tell. Looking for a tight set up too, Not loosey goosey

I will not be running a front exhaust. Just a BB with a B-pipe, MSD

Pros and Cons of each?

Thanks as always for your input. :loser:

Last xmetal that I weighed was 2 lb. 10oz., it would be hard to beat that with a metal waterbox.

Fit well in the hull and sound good. ATP is a better looking part, but once installed waterboxes are hidden.

I have seen posted somewhere that ATP is pretty loud??

comes down to personal choice then really, function is the same, fit and finish can be compared

atp weighs 2lbs 6oz for reference

with the atp u dont need a flow valve as the waterbox dries out without it if u run a flow valve the volume increases

the fact there is a choice between a couple of quality manufactures i think is great

You can hack off the 90* on the XScream if you want, the early ones did not have it. The fit is great. Sounds good too.

Same person posted twice, but the second time there were in a parallel universe where everything is exactly the same, except those with X-metal have ATP. You can tell them apart by this, and that parellel universe people all have mustaches.

Hahaha no I just saw his post and was going to say the same thing about my Atp box. So I figured id get a couple kicks out of just copying it and changing the manufactures. I love my Atp box.

And I don't have a mustache

I bought the old style xmetal waterbox and it improved throttle responce and sounds great. I sent an email to the guy selling the Xmetal box and ATP at the same time. ATP sent me an email right after I sent payment for the xmetal box. If you are buying a Footrocket the ATP box fits much better than the new xmetal box.

Both great products. Both great companies.

the ATP seems like it has a smaller connection area. It's hard to tell from some of the x-metal photos.

I like to have some lenth on the pipes to tighten down the couplers/ hoses...

Still leaning towards the x-metal at this time...

Thanks for all the input

That's because the person in the normal universe has a mustache. It's a weird X-scream/ATP and facial hair/no facial hair reversal universe.

If Yami-rider also does not have a mustache, the two of you have broken science, and one of you better grow one fast, or both universes as we know it could implode.

Maybe I'll get it all the way around NEXT time....

The ATP is a very nice product. Looks good, sounds great. I had a TDR prior to my ATP, and the TDR was noticeably louder.

ive had both and i would go the x metal anyday better back pressure ie performance has a throatier sound not to loud where as the atp is really tinnie sounding
