X2 + 951 anyone done it?

Well I have a 88 x2 and a 951 out of a 99 xp. After setting the 951 inside the hull its obvious that theres some specialty parts needed to make this work. I know someone out there has done this swap so im hoping they can give me tips on what adapter/parts are needed for this and where i might be able to get them. I really wanna make this work so some help would be much appreciated!

I had did it and it was really fast, but I took mine out just because you can only hold a 2 gallan gas tank in it. So you couldnt do very much riding that amount of gas.

Yea 2 gal. wont last very long. If i remember correctly a sea doo owners manual for a 98 Gtx limited states that a full tank of 15+ gallons will last about one hour at full throttle. Anyways it still seems like a great idea to put this motor in this hull.

why is the space underneath the seat not utilized as fuel tank ?

I had to run a rossler pipe because of the hood clearance. You have to take out both supports. I made a custom water box, a custom mounting braket to mount the motor in with riser plates to line the motor to the drive shaft. I had to relocate the battery under the seat. Moved the air intake do to the cutting and reinforcing that had to be done to the hood. The pump had a 15/20 impeller with a ocean pro cone bored out to 98mm to stop the cavitation. I had to make a custom 2 gallon gas tank.
As far as pics go, I will have to look around to see if I have anymore. I have always been really bad about not taking pics on my projects.

Judging solely from what I have done thus far on the Mach 6 project with the 787 and the prior test fitting of the 951 in my X2,all the above info is dead on the money, as in NOT BS!

I know some of yall on here wont beleive me, because I dont have any pics to back it up. But I am not trying to say it cant be done or it isnt worth it. I am saying this it can be done, it is really fast, but for where I ride, it just didnt work for me.

Do you still have the custom motor mounts / brackets you used to make it fit?

Sounds good U88. I'm in Houston. Not too far from east texas

I'm rebuilding a 951-blaster now......... motor is out for rebuild, hull is getting redone, and all new bling bling. Hope to have it on the water this spring.

I would love to have a 951-x2 to go with the Blaster-doo and the SXR-doo.
