650/X-2 X2 will not crank

I'm completely lost with my x2. I put a new battery and starter in it and my bendix throws with ease when I spin it in my hand. When I put the fly wheel and cover back on I can't get any of my 3 good bendix to engage the flywheel. I just hear the starter spinning. I did notice that the insert where the bendix goes in the case under the starter gear has a small chunk missing but I don't know if that would affect it. Any advise would be greatly appreciated!

Don't worry we figured it out. I put the battery cables on backwards, and starter was spinning the wrong way........ DERP lol

Burt out a couple of wires, but I replaced them, and shes good to go
