Custom/Hybrid XFS or XFR (which to buy?)

I am going to buy a Rickter XFS or XFR hull. I plan on using a 701 motor with a few mods maybe upgrade motors eventually, and was wondering if I should go with the XFS or XFR? One of the dealers has an XFR in stock right now so I wouldn't have to wait for it at least. I know the XFR is 20 pounds heavier but I was thinking I might need the XFR, because I am a rookie and I plan on wiping out a lot. I heard the XFR is stronger and I don't want to break anything. I ride flat water. So just wondering if any of you guys have some input or even better if anyone has ridden both and could help me decide.

Thanks,

Reid

The way i look at it is this model ski is more a flat water hull.
So why buy something that heavier don t make sense to me that s why i bought the XFS.
If you want a surf hull stick with the FR/FS models.
But if your in very small surf and flat XFS no brainer to me.
Yes Taylor ride them in big surf but we are all not Taylors no offence he can ride anything he s champion.

I am not so much worried about how heavy the hull is. I have never owned a custom hull and I don't want to break an XFS, because I am sure I will be landing on its side and upside down. I just want to make sure the XFS will be strong enough.
