Do not go by what others say. They will just tell you to buy whichever they have. Go and spend the money to test ride and decide for yourself.

i will be able to compare next summer. a local i know just ordered one. i cannot wait to try it. ..... hopefully he lets me. i did a comparision between the xfs and the gen3 as well. i love testing different hulls.

I live at the other end of Australia that's over 3000km from the factory and the closest footrocket would be at least 1500km that's even if there is one on the gold coast plus it's a 2 month wait on the hulls but there is a new xfs ready to ship in Australia

I've ridden both and own neither so you can count this as an unbiased opinion, I've rode a few xfs with with 701/760s/865s and one with a 1000 xs, the 865 and 1000 were carbon and I've been on a carbon footrocket with an 865 set up for surf (full length ride plate, which brings it to the length of a JB1, and the tubbies on) and with a 900 set up for flatwater (no tubbies + flush cut ride plate)

I find the Footrocket to be more fun to ride than the xfs, the xfs feels big compared to the skateboard footrocket, the footrocket doesn't ride nose high and as a result is slightly harder to flip but makes up for it with it's rideability.

I recommend the footrocket especially if you're going to be riding in surf as well as flatwater as it's tailored for both.

I ride and own an overall hull so obviously there the best at everything blah blah etc etc .

I regularly ride the same hulls as blehjosh and own neither. for me quite simply the xfs flips easier but the rocket does the rest better ( for me ) easier to ride around on even with small plate ,easier to set and hit wake( again for me ) and just prefer it in general . How ever if you want flatwater flips with your 760 there probs gona be easier with the xfs ! The other thing I don't like on the xfs is the tray is tiny feel like I'm all squashed up on the back of the ski, the rocket is similar size overal but feels like much more room in tray . I also like rocket footholds better .
Most of what I just wrote is opinion and everyone is different if you buy either you will get used to them and enjoy it I'd just say the rocket is a little more versatile while the xfs is more flip happy

Maybe look into an xfr. They have a bigger tray area as the firwall is cut back. Those foot rockets look amazing and you here nothing but good stuff on them too. Your gunna be happy with either hull. I love my xfr I use it for flatwater just to get the bigger tray, I don't believe I have heard one bad thing on the footrocket either. Goodluck!
