XFT Foothold Question?

I really like the look of the XFT footholds. I am 5'9" and hear that these footholds are made for someone taller. Any feed back on these foot holds or pics installed would be appreciated.

PM highroller... he uses them, or did use them, and he's not all that tall...

or, you can modify a set regular footholds... I modded my 24:7 footholds. they're not back as far as the XFT's nor are they as obtrusive in the tray...

man those really scare the crap out of me. I have come out of my holds side ways a few times and I think if I would have done it with those I would have broke a leg.

I forgot!
they bolt on to the RN hulls and are at the back of the ski, get them bigger then you think so your feet go in all the way, i glassed mine into the SN but i really need to move them forward about 3" to make them feel right, They have lots of foam but tops of my feet get raw from pulling up on the ski, may have to do with the fact that they are back to much and it makes my legs angle alot. they are strong and sweet looking but next time i will go with some watercraft factory ones.

I rode XFT-Lou’s ski and I like the holds they really keep your feet in place the only thing I don’t like about them is that they use up the entire tray in the rear.

i run XFT and will never go with anything else!

i had 24/7, then converted over. i had a problem with my feet sliding sideways... since it has never been an issue. i kick my feet in pretty hard to 'lock' in.

i have tried Watercraft Factory, Cyclones, Ricketers and did not like any of them.

in fact, if Watercraft Factory comes out with a lighter hull, i would like to order one but have him install a set of XFT footholds (or just make some the same).

Regards,
Andrew

I went to a friends yesterday and put my feet in his XFT holds on a ski he's building, and I am way too short to use them. I like the feel of my feet in the holds themself, but I had to lean so far forward to grab the handle bars. Very uncomfortable to me. So REVS it is for me. Will let ya'll know how they work out.

I've rode 24-7 (mine) and WCF. I like them both but the WCF's were nicely padded and the hold was sweet in my opinion. I would go with WCF next.

REV's are gnarly. They look too commited IMO, than again I'm not hanging my junk 15+' up like slutty or pete.

I wanna be 15' in the air upside down.
I watch the videos and drool at how high they get on some of there tricks. SICK...I am building a Lamey for my SJ to be able to do some of the things they do, I just have to learn how to do them. Easier said than done. lol

i, only 5'11" xft feel weird out of the water but really good in the water. the nose comes up and feels great. i tried xfts and revs back to back and im considering changing my rickters to xfts

You do not need that motor in the surf.... chances are it will be way more power then you need/can handle.... and less reliable of course.

I have a bigbore flattop motor, and it is everything I will ever need for a surf motor... its a little overkill. IMHO Pin it! BRAAAAP!

Unless there is a hurricane on the way we don't have surf down here. The lake where we ride is mostly 0-2' seas at best.
I wish we had surf I wanna fly.
