I have an XT handpole that I like to keep tight so it will not freely move up and down. It has 2 bolts on the inside, one of which is hard to get to when I tighten it to back it off against the other one. What I have been doing is tightening the one bolt all the way I want it then tightening the other bolt against it. Unfortunatly I dont see a way to get to the first bolt to back tighten it against then second bolt. I have used locktight Blue but that doesn't seem to work. I know that some people have drilled a hole thru the bolt then tighend the pole and placed a rod thru the bolt. Seems like an option. I am thinking maybe if I buy a 3rd bolt I can back tighten it that way? Locktight Red?

I don't think you'll ever get that second jam nut to stay tight without drilling through it. I tried and failed miserably. The pole, acting through the lock washer and the first nut, has just way too much leverage and causes the jam nut to spin loose.

I gave up on the two bolt setup and went back to the single OEM bolt and spring. I'm using an OEM pole with the XFT bracket...I was told that I needed a spacer to go back to the OEM single bolt, but it worked fine without any spacer. With the stock spring, I was able to just tighten the bolt enough to squeeze the towers together .020", and the pole is now perfectly weightless and stays exactly where I put it....exactly what I wanted. And, I never have to worry about these jam nuts loosening since both the bolt head and nuts are secured against non-rotating surfaces (the outer sides of the towers) and so there is no adverse torque to deal with.

Do it twice?That's DooDoo
most have the nuts on the outsides... sounds like you're saying bolts instead of nuts.... anyways... use a lot of red loctite on bolts and nuts that have been cleaned thoroughly and washed with acetone or other cleaner.... have the pole in the up position and put the red loctite on and leave it sit without moving for 24 hours at least.... if that doesnt work try red loctite and some of the nuts they sell on mcmaster carr... they have a socket cap screw (allen wrench type of screw) in the nut and you can tighten it... just a special kind of locking nut... good luck
