Custom/Hybrid XS1000 setup and discussion

I'd like to know who all is running an XS1000? anyone care to list their setup from carb to pump?

Getting ready to drop one in a 60lb Fx1 hull with 49 full specs, LTD B pipe, new style XMW waterbox, 5 gallon superjet tank and 144 mag pump :bigeyes:


I know the 148 pump is ideal, but has anyone run one with a 144? prop and nozzle recommendations?

I spent a few hours last night port matching the Bpipe manifold and headpipe from 48 to 52......


going to use an MSD-E for the time being with a 62T ignition and jetmaniac lightened flywheel

sure..sometimes........on flat days when we are just chillin on the pontoon boat....good for river and lake days and just to play around with

Is it a setback, is it 12v? If so it will work fine. 13/19 prop with a 4mm cutback, swirl thinblade.

I think you should be fine with the 144, no tl and b pipe should turn power down enough for the 144, but what prop?

49's, MSD E, avgas, stock lightened FW, b pipe... I was running a 14/19 with a 148 Mag S/N.... So tell me how the 13/19 is going to work in a 144?

Better find a 15/20 or 16/21 running the 144 pump

I was thinking the samething. I'm running a 14/19 c75 in my 144 mag with the 865. I would think 15/20 atleast with the 1000.

I know the recipe....Im just duplicating Joshs setup..

Thats going to be one nasty FX.. but you are the man to have one... if you set that pump back 2 inches will that help any??
