XScream 50mm Carbs, Anyone Running them???

Hey yaw,

Has anyone tried out the XScream 50mm Carbs? If so, how do you like them? What are you running them on? And have you found them to require frequent adjustment to keep them dialed in? I just picked up a XS1060 and I am considering going that route.

Thanks

I ran them on my XS900RR a few years ago. They were difficult to get dialed in and I found they were very sensitive to temp changes.

From my experience I found I had to set the screws to a specific setting and adjust the jets accordingly.

When they are right they do perform very well. If I were you I’d get set up from @tricky1 or XS direct

What sort of temperature changes are we talking about? Like a cold motor vs warm or the difference between a 80deg and 95deg day? Being that they are billet rather than cast I could deffinately see them being more sensitive to temperature.

I actually reached out to Phil Clemmons, yesterday as I know he was involved in the initial development. Plus he is pretty close to me.

I will say back when I was using these they were just released (maybe changes have been made since). Justin Sylvain and I found tuning them for pump gas 900rr setup to be very sensitive to air temperature.

If you are already in touch with Phil you are in good hands and he will definitely have the best info for you.

Phil has worked on several skis with the older version and newer version of the 50'ds ... with temp changes and barometric pressure changes even during competition time ( lots of water gets stirred up and air has more moisture ) they are a tad sensitive to get dialed .

We utilized the Dasa 48's for the 900 TPE with great results.

I had a set on my XS900rr and loved them. I sold the 900 last summer along with the carbs, intake, and exhaust manifold. When I bought my new XS1060, I bought another set of XS50's to go with it.
