I prefer to run the heavy, crap casted JD shoes in my ultra light hulls.. How much different are those b2's? btw...you sure those front fender flares are gonna come out of the mold still attached to the plug? Looks a little drafty. Digging the Xmas colors too

Hydro^ the keel is taller but allowed to run a taller rideplate to have more room to shape a rideplate angle better around a 155 (even if they are short. Ya, fender flares are sketchy close. I hope not to close. Definitely checking my numbers before I mold

C'mon Jeff, don't give up yet.. Guys assemble their hulls just like tuning their motors. Listen to the hull builder = Listen to your engine builder. Also, a handful of the a/m hulls run their own shoe/intake system. A better suggestion would be to ask for everyone post pics of their a/m hull pump inlets, possibly with some dimensions??????:)

I believe I dropped a post on def ears. I mean your here but I wish there was a place for hull builders or shapers to toss their thoughts. I have a lot of hull bottoms in my photos. I never see the b2 shoe utilized though at least as far as I've seen yet

Hollywood used the plastic stock 155 shoe when he built that white chan some years ago. I recall it had to be ground down to nothing and fit like crap. I looked at the bottom and thought how ugly the install was, but whatever, it worked. steve never used the plastic shoe and I think dealer cost was just about the same for either one. everybody probably uses the cast AM ones cause they are easier to buy. oem needs to be had thru the yami dealer? i'd go with the aluminum just because it might not break quite as easy. maybe ask phantom josh about past and present use

Thanks for your input buzz. I do chat with josh and a few other builders like Scott . Most builders are still tight lipped on everything. The innovations out there are typically hull based. Looks like the superfreak bottom has something I can't see though.

B2 shoe is no problem to get and eazy peezy to install. They where on back order last year and got me nervous but I can still get. Originally I went with b2 shoe cause I liked the trueness of a consistent shoe. I have personally held all the shoes out there. The rrp one is shiney but very custom to their hull. Jd155 was just deformed. I imagine if for some reason b2 shoe go obsolete I'd have to settle for a jd155 and remold to go shallower. Toby they can never get my fingerprints. Lol
