I am looking to bump compression on my 1100 Yamaha motor I know back in the day and Mabye now people would mill off a couple thousands off the head to bump the compression I am wondering how much I can do to raise power and still run 93 any help would be awesome

Look into running a Zeeltronics ignition on it. Bump up the timing/curve instead.

Also the 1200's use 44 carbs, the 1100's use 38's I would think there is a substantial power increase hiding in a carb-intake swap.

Mill the head so you're at 150psi (still good for 93 Octane pump gas), port the cylinders, and add 1200 electronics. That's all I did on my 1100 on my Blaster and it really moves. It's a hair quicker than a friends 1200 Blaster down low and into the mid range, but up top, his will slowly pull away.

I'm not sure, I had a shop do my machine work. I can't remember for sure but I think I remember hearing that every thousanth that you mill off gives you about 10psi bump in compression. Maybe someone can chime in and confirm this.

On my 701 and on my 750 kawi, every 0.001" was about 1 psi.
On my 701 I had 150 stock , milled 0.015" and was at 165 psi.
