Yeah awsome event, a few of us from NewZealand flew over there and watched as a fellow Kiwi was competing, unfortunately he was paired up against Pierre so it made him look average but an awsome event, Malones ski was too powerful and light for the big surf but did a double roll, Curtis ripped it on his Rickter, Zach went good, Troy Rafferty (aussie) went massive as did Freestyle pete (sharky), there was a japanese dude there with a shortened stock hull which was cool but Sharky and Jetpilot did a good job as it was a great day. Pierre is on another planet, he was riding a stock 08 superjet hull with tubbies, stock 701 with a b-pipe and msd and was flipping and rolling heaps higher than everyone else runnung bigger motors and lighter hulls.
hey fellas, i was riding in the event on a borrowed ski, man it was a sik day. cant belive pierre he is of and outa here joining NASA space staion on a superjet, king of kings. it was a good outcome and judging was a good way because it wasnt all about big tricks technical surfriding was judged too. hope more vids and pics come up soon. theres a few on ozfreeride.com ,, big thanx to aussie mat for the vids on there to legend

Such an awesome day. The turn out was twice as big as last year. Cant wait for the next one. It was sweet meeting up with all the international riders. Pierre is just a freak. Cant believe the height he gets..
Sorry you had such bad luck with your ski thighithrash. Looking forward to riding thursday with you if I can get it off work..

yeh Malone did come second, not to sure who came 3rd. Malone actually kept riding with his stuffed rist after he did it. He just had it strapped.
It was a good battle between him and Pierre.. Malone's ski is rediculous. It was a really rough day and very chopped up which I think made it a bit hard for him with his light weight ski. Pierre was the clear winner though. The height he gets on his back flips is insane and was pulling out superflip after superflip. Check out some of the pics from the day..

1st Pierre Maixent
2nd Eric Malone
3rd Nick Barton
Surf was big sloppy and Dumping with about 20 knots of wind on it
the event was really well run with no delays or if there was we didnt notice due to Monster Energy Girls :hail:
Jet Pilot, Works, AJSP, and Monster really stepped it up, and I am happy to have survived the epic afterparty
thanks to all who made us feel welcome and hungover
