Im currently in the process of re-doing my 02 Super Jet. Bought this ski in 2008 as a bone stock boat with the exception of Wammer holds and turf. Beat on it for a couple years, did all the basic bolt ons (b-pipe, ada, hooker etc) until i moved in 2010. I was never really satisfied with the ski. It felt heavy and under-powered even with the bpipe and tl. Times got tough and i parted out most of the engine add-ons. Fast forward to this year and I finally got a decent day job again and extra cash to build this boat back up. My goal is to build a dual purpose boat that i can use for freestyle on the river and local lakes, and freeride Daytona Beach every now and then.
Ive been collecting parts for the last few monthes. Basic run down:
-61x/62t
-Single carb Blackjack 48mm
-Riva Head 185psi
-Msd Total Loss
-Factory Type4 Drypipe
-Snowxr intake grate
-Hooker 9/15
-xmetal adjustable turn plate
-xmetal trim w/85mm #zero nozzle and extended riva turn nozzle
-Raddudes pole bracket

The hull mods started as "I think ill shave the gas cap" but have progressed to heavily chopped up lol.
- negative 8" oem pole
-shaving the nose cover and fuel cap
- negative 5.5" off the back
-negative 5" off the top deck
-widening tray
- Complete Custom Hood
-Recessed front foothold
-possibly a rocker nose.... not sure yet

Heres a few pics of where it is at the moment. The footholds were JB WELDED AND SCREWED IN. The 5200 leaked like a mofo and soaked the foam.... At least thats the only mods the original owner did lol

Have you thought about adjustable footholds.

I shortened my RN and decided to put adjustables in and im glad I did cause I ride much more forward then I thought I would

I have the bobs but I wouldn't recommend them. The quality of mine were horrible. Spend the little extra and go for rickters or krash ind.

A few progress pics. Bought some Dow foam to lay out the tray with today. Anyone have any suggestions on something to put in the gunwells to keep it from collapsing with the adjustable holds bolted through?

Cut out the rest of the tray last night, and epoxied the rear of the gunwells to the lower deck. Awaiting payment info from Thrust so i can order a set of their new RRP footholds. Going with the ninjas. Look like an awesome hold and theyre selling them at a killer price.

Just searched your build. Pretty sweet. Did you or are you laying alot of glass over the upper parts to strengthen it? I was planning on uing the 1/2" dow foam on the sides and glassing over that to give it the structure it needs.
